The Basics
Registered Name: Voodoo
Nickname: Voodoo
Age: 3 (Y7)
Breed: Thoroughbred
Colour & Markings: Dark bay or brown.
Height: 16 HH
Gender: Filly
Personality:Voodoo was an aggressive filly even before she found herself in the Economy Stables, wasting away with no job to do. She raced only once in her two year old season, and even though she managed to snag second in her maiden race, after that she suddenly disappeared from the racetrack. A year later she was found and picked up by Shamrock when she appeared in an economy sale, but her true nature wasn't known until she got back to the barn. Voodoo is, simply, a crazy mare with a superiority complex bigger than Texas. She bites, kicks, rears, and pulls of other antics on the ground to try and dominate the people around her. She can't be turned out with other horses because she will fight them. Her aggressive, competitive nature has her up the throat of Limited Bluez, and the two quickly became arch-enemies and sparring partners. However, she completely lacks Blue's inhibition when it comes to humans, and Voodoo would as soon bite you as look at you. Still, James has some sort of insane belief that there's a side to her that isn't a raving maniac, so she sticks around.
Racing Style:Voodoo is a shark. She breaks fast (unless she's throwing a huge fit in the starting gate, which is entirely possible) but doesn't go directly to the lead, instead chasing after the leader like a horse possessed with her eyes screaming hellfire. She follows the pacesetter for the first few furlongs, depending on the length of the race, generally staying directly behind them and on their tail in an attempt to psych them out. If the pace wasn't so quick, she probably would bite the horse in front of her on the butt - she seems to want to injure the other competitors as much as possible and does not mind rough jostling, bumping, and rolling for position. About three furlongs before the race is over she has to be forced to stop chasing her target and get her but to the front though - usually a difficult task as she seems to have no desire to win, just a desire to hunt down other horses. The homestretch is a lot of her jockey fighting with her and trying to get her out into the open air.
