Personality:Feisty and strong-willed, Presley is sometimes hard to manage. In the stables he can be a real pain; don't leave anything he can pick up with his mouth within his reach, or he might throw it at you or someone else, be it horse or human. this mouthiness continues to all aspects of his being. He doesn't bite outright unless you manage to piss him off, but he will nibble on people all day long. He cribs, but it is well managed as long as he wears a cribbing collar, and he hasn't managed to cause any major damage yet. If he likes you, he will gently nuzzle your shirt and give you little "love bites" - which it's usually best to discourage him from because he will accidentally nip you on occasion. He has an ego roughly the size of Texas: Presley thinks he's the greatest horse that ever lived, and is a giant showoff. In the pasture he will run back and forth along the fence, showing off his powerful strides. When he has a rider who he feels if "worthy" of his full efforts, he'll show off what a fancy runner he is.
Racing Style:Presley likes to get the lead early and stick to it - he's a pace setting horse with the endurance to back it up. Like all horses, he has his good days and his bad days. He usually manages to get close to the front at the beginning, but if he winds up in the middle of the pack or heaven forbid in the back, he usually loses some of his drive. It's pretty much impossible to bring him from last to first. His favorite place to be is at the lead, especially if he holds the lead by a few lengths and is unchallenged. He can deal with challengers, but he likes to be out there on his own. If he had a choice, he would break away at the very beginning and simply run away from the early pace; however, he needs to be kept from doing this even if it's by main force. He might technically be able to do it, but he'd be too spent by the end of the race to keep up the pace - probably too spent even to run. So it's best to let him set the initial pace but not set it too high, and try to break away once and for all by the end. The best way to run him is wire-to-wire and on the inside because he doesn't like being passed on the left for some reason.
